Our Team
We’re not just about offering financial products and services. Our firefighters set out to make a meaningful difference, and we’re proud to offer meaningful support to them along the way.
Get to Know the People Making It Happen
Emily Morton
CEO
Emily Morton serves as CEO of CVFCU, and it’s easy to see how she earned the role. Emily has worked in credit unions since she was 17-years-old, and we’re lucky to have her in our CVFCU family. In addition to her extensive credit union industry experience, Emily also attended California State University Fresno and Pacific Coast Banking School.
As our CEO, Emily is involved in anything and everything, such as maintaining the financial health of our credit union, searching for growth opportunities, and providing members with the best possible products to ensure financial security. She loves the mission and atmosphere at CVFCU, stating, “Our members and staff are like family—we all watch out for each other.” She also enjoys hearing stories from our firefighters about the calls they go on, so if you’ve got an exciting story about your time on the job, you’ve got to tell Emily!
When she isn’t working, Emily enjoys running after her three kids and husband. Emily fondly says, “They either keep me young or cause me to age prematurely.” Emily is also an avid reader and traveler who cannot refuse Italian food (understandably so).
Anna Stanhill
Operations Manager
Anna Stanhill joined the CVFCU family back in 2014. She currently serves as Operations Manager, strives to maintain open communication between our CEO and staff, is involved in the loan approval process, processes membership applications, and more! She loves bonding with her coworkers and our members, and she enjoys expanding her skills and learning new things.
In her free time, Anna likes to lounge outside and dive into a good book. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and son, plus her labradors, Sophie and Lady.
Bao Yang
Accounting Supervisor
Bao Yang joined the CVFCU family in May 2021, bringing to our team a strong 18 years of credit union experience. Bao serves as an Accounting Specialist, working hard behind the scenes to ensure that CVFCU—and by extension, our members—maintain good financial standing.
In her free time, Bao likes spending time with her husband and three children. Some of their favorite activities include walking in the park, cruising on the lake, and fishing. Bao and her husband also enjoy sampling different craft root beers and ginger ale while traveling.
Andie McDonnell
Member Service Specialist
Andie McDonnell joined the CVFCU family in May 2021. She serves as a Loan Processor and works closely with members on all loans to help them get the best terms possible. Andie has been a hard worker from the start and most enjoys how the CVFCU team and membership base are such close-knit groups.
In her free time, Andie enjoys gardening, taking day trips to the beach, camping, and reading anything that looks good. Andie also has a soft spot for animals and keeps dog treats in her office, just in case any members bring in their dogs. (Hint-hint: bring your dogs in, we love them!)
Erica Figueroa
Business Development Officer
Erica Figueroa joined the CVFCU family in February 2023. She serves as our Business Development Officer, reaching out to the community and helping members of the fire service reap the benefits of CVFCU. She takes pride in her role and always looks forward to building relationships on daily fire station visits throughout the Central Valley.
Any chance she gets, Erica enjoys taking road trips out in nature or to the beach, exploring different cities, and attending live sporting events. She also loves cooking and spending time with her family.
Alicia Gomez
Accounting Clerk
Jackie Sanchez
Member Service Specialist
Jackie has been with CVFCU since March 2024. She currently works with members as a Member Service Specialist, opening new accounts and completing loan applications.
In her free time, she likes shopping, eating out, going to the movies, and gardening side-by-side with her four dogs. One day, Jackie hopes to make it to a 49ers game and see her favorite team in action.
Katie Rangel-Sorondo
Member Service Representative
Katie has been part of CVFCU since 2022, serving as a Member Service Representative.
When she’s not busy chasing after her two kids, you can find her cheering on the Raiders or watching UFC (preferably with an ice-cold beer in hand). She loves spending time with her family and cuddling up with her dogs!
